Ibidun Oludipe is an advisor at GET.invest's Finance Access Advisory (FAA) component. Driving one of their TA facilities - 'the GET.invest Finance Catalyst', which prepares private sector owned and managed renewable energy companies and projects to access finance. In addition, she also serves as the Country window focal point for the team.
GET.invest is a European programme which supports investments in clean energy projects. It works with project and business developers, their associations, financiers and regulators towards affordable, reliable and clean energy for all. It runs on the platform of the Global Energy Transformation Programme (GET.pro) that is implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ).
Prior to joining GET.invest , she was an Advisor at the Enabling Environment component of the Nigerian Energy Support Programme (NESP) of Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) where she coordinated activities geared towards improving Access to Finance for renewable energy (RE) and energy efficiency (EE) in the building and industrial sectors in Nigeria. She also coordinated the assignment towards Organizational Development of RE and EE Associations in Nigeria. A few of her achievements are; i) Organized the first ever Energy Career fair targeted towards the Power/Energy sector stakeholders in Nigeria. ii) Coordination of Renewable Energy and Energy efficiency Associations which culminated into forming the first ever umbrella body in Nigeria called the REEEA-Alliance. ii) she has developed and implemented several capacity building programmes to over 500 public-private stakeholders on Sustainable Energy Finance.
Ibidun has over 15 years of cross-cutting advisory and project management experience in finance, banking, marketing, human resources, and sustainable energy access. The core impact of her work has been in supporting public and private sector stakeholders to create policy frameworks, regulations, incentives and implementation of strategies aimed at creating an enabling environment for RE and EE Investments. Ibidun holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Lagos, Nigeria and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Birmingham City University, UK.
She began her career in the banking sector with Zenith Bank Plc as a Human Resources and Relationship Officer. She was involved in Customer acquisition and portfolio management as well as organizing Interviews and onboarding of new recruits in the FCT region. She later joined the Private Banking Group of Access Bank Plc where she worked as a Relationship Manager with focus on investment advisory, wealth creation and management of High Net worth Individuals (HNIs). A role which she made considerable impact leading to tremendous growth of the group's portfolio as well as several recommendations by the bank and clients based on her excellent and professional client- management skills.
In August 2020, she was elected as the Secretary to the Board of Trustees of the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Association - Alliance - an Umbrella organization for all Associations in the RE and EE sectors of Nigeria.
Ibidun earned certifications in Solar Energy and Energy Efficiency Finance in 2020, and another in Green Energy Finance to support Covid-19 recovery in 2022, both by the Renewables Academy (RENAC), Germany.
Ibidun is passionate about finance and climate change action, she aims to continue her support in the improvement of investment in the RE and EE sector, unlocking access to sustainable RE/EE finance, while continuing in building capacities of relevant stakeholders on Sustainable Energy and Climate finance.
