Gerd Müller, who has been the Director General of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) since December 10, 2021, held various leadership positions early in his career. After serving as a member of the European Parliament, he was appointed Parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Ministry of Food, Agriculture, and Consumer Protection in 2005. In 2013, he became the Federal Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development.
